The line was originally said by a Mark Williams character who usually appeared in a kitchen and is, in its entirety "...and then they made me their chief. Which was nice."
It was also used by Sir Roly Birkin (played by Paul Whitehouse), who is normally "very, very drunk"
Mr Depp also used another Fast Show catchphrase [again from a Mark Williams character] in an unused version of the "parley" scene in the cave when he says, "I'll get me coat..." - this can be seen on the DVD.
