(no subject)

Does anyone know someone who calls themselves "Tempest" / "Ionium"?

They've just been on IRC, saying shit along the lines of knowing where I live, and I don't take kindly to threats.

Any info gratefully received.

For reference

Given that he was using jirc it's probably just some tit browsing Netgoth. I note that looking up Deathboy on netgoth gives your name as being 'Scott Lamb' and that you live in 'Bethnal Green'.

I suspect this is how he knows your name and "where you live".

...and he is of course notable enough for his own Wikipedia entry (which is a story in itself...)

I thought he created his own entry. Albeit the main culprit appears to be someone called "Blankinfinity"...

the entry was created by perf originally, from an interview with me some years ago. jase has made edits, but clearly not the majority of them.

I haven't ever edited that page. I'm not much of a wikipedian, but it would be bad form.

I didn't realise Scott Lamb redirected to me.

That's stretching it, the band might pass muster (debatable) but I don't, I'm sure.

I'm aware that info about me is out there - though I've not lived in BG for years - my /whois has my real name, it's actually that this person did the same thing last time they appeared.

They rock up under a nick we don't know particularly well, and then start greeting people with details like their names / "oh, we've met a few times" / knowing where you live / etc.

With me, I think they revealed we'd met briefly years ago, and they knew a few mutual friends of mine.

They obviously think it makes them cool in some way, and that it's funny to try to put people on edge. I'm more angered by the intent than the negligable likelihood of some prick arriving at my door and smacking me, but it does to watch one's back.
