That doesn't sound right. You sure you haven't been rootkitted? I get paranoid about these things - I once got rootkitted by something very new that nothing and nobody else could recognise.
Ping google.co.uk and google.com and see if the IP address are the same, or maybe post them here. It's standard fare for rootkits to do weird shit to your google searches (intercepting them by means of DNS hijack). Or you might find that download.lavasoft.com resolves to 127.0.0.1, that kinda shit.
Else maybe your Ctrl key is stuck down or something :P
