If you want to get someone to do something, ask them in their right ear, say scientists.
Italian researchers found people were better at processing information when requests were made on that side in three separate tests.

I've said to people for years that in clubs, I might as well be deaf in my left ear for purposes of conversation - I can tell sound is coming in, but can't decode the speech. On the right hand side, absolutely no problem, and in normal situations (without loud background music) then my left ear is fine, too.
Again, as in all things, I am proven correct. Ho yus.
