Nifty, Corben's grasped the concept of a track-pad.

He can't target it very well, yet, but when I'd tried with him before, he could't see the link between the movement on the pad and the pointer. He gets that now, but doesn't really manage to accurately move in two axis.

Mind you, that's not bad going for someone who, earlier this morning, thought it was entirely logical to try to clamber onto the bed while holding a toy helicopter in each hand.

What's wrong with that?

I mean, ONE toy helicopter might not makes sense -- but with TWO toy helicopters, a person as small as Corben ought to be able to simply FLY up to the bed.

presumably by “fly” you mean…

run at full pelt towards the bed until unstoppable force and immovable object meet. flop face-first on to bed, and wriggle, legs wavy wildly, until aided, or somehow managing to get far enough onto the bed to drag himself up by his knees

just a guess

Helicopters fly. Real helicopters fly well enough to carry people. Now, these are TOY helicopters, so clearly, they won't fly as well as REAL helicopters, which is why you need TWO of them.

I have mild fear of toy helicopters right now after Karen's nephew invented a new game wherin my knees are the mountains that his toy helicopters have to repeatedly crash into.

Two helicopters mean he's correctly balanced... and there'd be an near-equal amount of lift on both sides were they working ones. Definitely logical ^_^
