We compiled these two weeks ago. Kev's zooid colony actually managed to drown itself.
Bored shitless imagining a 4-dimensional solution to a genetic problem space, the maxima of which seems to be a creature that announces itself to the world by hooking up to our waiting TTS engine's light-receptors.
That was obviously meant to be the clever part of the lecture.

The machines have started to flash. Lecturer seems perturbed that the output doesn't parse as anything much in ASCII. Or Unicode. Or Welsh.

Suspect Kev fucked with the cultures before class. Setting up a 64x64 array of cells and an addressing net. Once the old fucker totters off to the pub, we can see what this thing's outputting.

Output looked like it had patterns, but a bit weird in the 64x64 array. Absolutely no surprise, when paired with a 64x128 array, the culture caused the net to display a bitmap of a big fat cock.
Now entirely sure Kev and Steve fiddled the startup cultures to breed towards cells in the wang configuration despite lab controls. Asha and Pete think they've got a handle on the sequence changes they used, and a few of the wankers at the back have worked out how to breed colours into the bitmap.
Kev doesn't realise, however, that while they were tossing about, me and Jacko just made him pregnant with Steve's child.
That'll fucking learn him.
