Wow . . . Somebody doesn't have a sense of humour ;]

Hacking is illegal and an offence; I wouldn't ask anybody to do so seriously. I hope you know that.

By posting up the URL and asking people to "check it out" I'm hardly "suppressing opposition speech" am I?

It's incredible and most ironic that you seem to think a war against Iraq has some humanitarian value to it. That somehow Saddam's suppression of opposition-speech is one reason amongst many why a war is imminent. Are you American...you certainly sound like one quote: "we're gonna get Saddam". You're not gonna get Saddam; you are gonna get the Iraqi people and you most certainly aren't doing all of this in a vain attempt to rid the world of terror and suppressive regimes; currently the world is fearing bush's intervention and international policies; it seems the most terror is being spawned by America itself.

You want to discuss suppression; let's discuss the thousands of people being placed into "custody" in America by America because they happen to be Arab's during these "difficult times". Don't get me wrong; afterall you're doing this to save your nation in these difficult times. But don't start spewing forth democratic rhetoric that simply isn't being upheld at all times. Like I said before; I don't blame America for imprisoning people; they did the same to the Japanese during WW2. Have you ever checked out the Bush_Sucks (http://www.livejournal.com/users/bush_sucks) LJ community? Leftist shite propoganda or "Anti-American" is possibly what you'd call it; heck if you're Jewish you'd probably yell "anti-semetic" and place these people alongside those who "back Saddam" and the PLO. I suggest you read the series of posts there and then tell me whether your president's international policies were designed to help protect freedom of speech (heck america and freedom of speech, DMCA, RIAA, etc . . . now there's a laugh!)

The person who owns and updates that specific website btw is a "friend" of mine. The main issue I have with it is that he's using his nationality as propoganda material that fuels bush/blair's war against Iraq. He approaches the media by saying he is an Iraqi organisation that actually backs a war against Iraq, unsurprisingly right wing propoganda will immediately snap him up. His website is riddled with inaccurate information that seems to indicate the majority of Arabs and to a greater extent Iraqis supporting him and supporting a War against Iraq (which as an Iraqi I know is not true at all.) I've even heard Jack Straw using him as a scapegoat saying "see; the Iraqi people want this to happen, they need us". I know the guy personally; I went to Hajj with him a few weeks ago. He takes a very hard line with this regards and backs up his statements with historical facts yet incredibly misses out the main issue which is that Saddam was put in power by the US and kept in power by the US for decades! You can't seek a solution to Saddam from the US; the Iraqi people's best interests are far from the US's best interests.
