Had a really good weekend... the gig went well, with the exception of me trying to add an extra chorus to Crawlout where there was one - jason's glare brought me back to earth within moments, though :)

The sound guy was being an absolute prick, but we soundchecked a lot more smoothly than we have in the past... a bit of experience is starting to creep in and we're getting better at setting up, testing, getting out of the way.

Our cover of 'mad world' seemed to hit the spot, too... we closed with it, did a really decent version and got asked a few times if we've recorded it... we haven't as of yet, but it looks like we may do now :) - just have to resist the temptation to let cover numbers creep into the set. We played mad world because (apart from being an excellent song), it pretty much sums up the state of the globe right now, without being overly political in of itself.

Was great to see Impulse 9 again - with mel doing startlingly accurate vocals for their version of 'No Limits' :) Annoyingly, Luca, the Sound Twat fucked up hamster's guitar for the first two songs, and left it low in the mix for the rest of the set... being not done justice by the PA at the garage seems to be the norm :/ - only hope it doesn't make the chappies too despondant.

Now... just have to get my Whitby plans together and I can chill for a bit :)

Also, I now have tickets to sell for the gig with Sheep on Drugs, too - so that should be rawking... more info on that later, when I get my arse organised. :)
