Aug. 6th, 2003 12:05 pmShort notice, I know, but I think we should all make an effort to be part of this :D

I've just been invited round to see the sculptures our landlord does... he *looks* (or at least while he's fixing our place up) like a builder! Not that I thought he *was*, but I now see him in a totally different light!
The sculptures are *wonderful* - all welded wireframe geometry - almost as if someone had made the ideas in a renderer and then realised them, but apparently he doesn't use computers at all.
Lots of use of mirrors to add depth, continue lines past solid parts, create moiré effects with lines drawn on perspex, light boxes and projectors to give the feeling of planes hanging in open space.
I'm well impressed!
Shall see if I can take some pictures with his permission.
'Think I'm going to like it here...
:)

Cat went out last night and got shitfaced - he came back literally unable to walk in a straight line, and, given he spent £2 all night that's quite impressive (blagging++) - however, he also informed me that he'd volunteered both of us to be *interviewed* by someone doing a marketing campaign for Diesel.
Supposedly, we'll be filmed answering questions about our sexuality and what we find attractive, etc.
If *at all possible*, I intend to claim that I grew up with two gay brothers because frankly, a national advertising campaign is the only way I think I can better mentioning that they both "love the cock" on my sleeve-notes for the album.
Truly, the best benefit of ill-gotten fame is to be able to call your brothers homos in an exponentially louder voice than you could otherwise muster.
:D:D:D
PS: "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi kicks arse.

Interviewed
Aug. 6th, 2003 11:22 pmWell, we actually *did* get interviewed, and I gave a little off-the-cuff waffle about liking teasing and suprise (true enough, just dull) and didn't crowbar in my brothers' ludicrous faggotry...
Cat outdid me massively by discussing how he likes it when the girl *cries* (although it was more intellectual than that makes it out to be...)
Anyway, we shall see if we make the edit whenever it goes out :)
