The poppies were excellent, but this seems to be ground well-trodden on my friends list :)

Excellent range of tunes, tight, energetic performance, electric atmosphere and moshing absolutely fucking mandatory.

While feeling a bit rough from the previous night's fun, I said "Nah, I'm not really gonna mosh, I'm just gonna stand back and enjoy it". Eris commented that it was a wise idea to "Keep an eye on Sexbat, and don't be in the same place as he is, then - a tactic that will usually keep you on the right side of any given police line, too, I might add." - I smiled and nodded, the first song started, I lost sight of Liz as the tsunami of people launched me into the air and forwards, and there, bobbing merrily to my immediate left is Sexbat. Things proceeded as one might anticipate :)

Hilariously, Eris and myself got interviewed briefly for BBC6's report on the gig, so listen out for Eris saying (when asked if we thought PWEI were influential) "You can fucking BET that Linkin Park have every single Poppies record and play them religiously!" - heheh.

Also bought myself a beanie hat and "SAMPLE IT, LOOP IT, FUCK IT, EAT IT" t-shirt (for shame on the people buying the shit quality knock-offs from the ravens outside when there were such a range of good official ones inside).

Also, I didn't buy one, but they were selling "Instant Live" CDs - a perfect way to counter bootleg taping, they give you a high-quality recording of the show you just watched 10 minutes after the last song finishes. Cracking idea, and the band actually benefit from it. Score.

All in all, icksilint!

Was there something I was supposed to be doing this weekend?

If not, simply suggest something I ought to do this weekend!

Rude/offensive suggestions welcomed :D

I have a mate coming to visit for the weekend, looking for good Vegan food in London, preferably central/TCR sort of area or north east, sort of Finsbury Park area.

Any recommendations?

Our fine and esteemed colleagues at Earth Loop Recall have two tracks added to their media section, "Futureless" and "Compulsion" (there are three other tracks in there, too - go look!)
