My Mom had a typewriter a long time ago that could erase. It had one of those eraser strips and she used it all the time. I would go to bed at night and hear the clicking of each letter and then the loud pounding of the eraser. My mom had the most cut-throat internal editor.

When computers started entering homes, we got one and I remember playing different games on it and not understanding the internet. As soon as the computer was set up on the desk in our dining room, the typewriter was moved down to the basement, never to be used.
