If you're a particularly rabid Dr Who fan, apparently[1][2], the BBC website is a bad place to be at the moment, on account of their giving away some spoiler action in the headlines / URLs (ie, you don't even have to delve into the story to be spoilered).

[edit]: Apparently, it's pretty much everywhere in the media, so locking yourself in a lead box is pretty much the option if you wish to remain in the dark :)

I'm not rabid about Dr Who myself (like it a lot, but not so much as to yell SPOLEIERR!!! if I read a post about an episode), I was just trying to relay a heads-up for mates that might care. Evidently, I'm some kind of wanker for this, and woefully behind the True Believers in getting the information, so I shall leave people to their geeking from now on.

This would absolutely put the fear of god into me. (worksafe)

I think it's because subs are basically unmarked (so you would have to just fucking hope it was one of yours), but the idea of being on the beach and that motherfucker rising from the waves... I would be on another fucking land-mass as fast as my legs could move.

Some latent fear of monsters from the deep, maybe, but I'd sooner bathe with the Elder Ones than a fucking sub full of god-knows-what warheads. What a weird thing for me to squick about. I think it doesn't help my parsing of the image to see kids playing, etc. Kinda like seeing a grenade in a playpen.
