I have one of these now - a T-Mobile-branded HTC Universal.

Windows Mobile is, apparently, for righties only.

Left-handers can Fuck Off, if they plan to scroll in any application ever.

Gah, what a drag. That really would not have been difficult to implement.

And the one-handed cursor-control is shocking. And the WiFi doesn't work. And the keys are shit. Screen's nice, though.

Come back, Treo! All is forgiven!

Still, at least I have a 1gb/month data plan now. Maybe I'll wind up using that on the Treo.

[edit]:

Windows Mobile software that can fuck off:

* Pocketmind Pocketmusic Bundle (TCPMP is WAY better, just less attractive)
* Minimo (it lays the page out nice and tiny, but it's ultra-slow, takes up TONNES of ram and doesn't do program associations properly on downloaded items)
* Agile Messenger (because I might have more than one account of any given kind, actually)

Microchips in Britain's new ePassports only have two-year warranties, a National Audit Office report says.

Well, that's ok, then. Safety first. We can trust the government with their new initiatives for our security.

Apparently, there's a good review for End of an Error in Metal Hammer this month.

And apparently, they've called it "End of an Era" repeatedly, and Line Out Records has become Out of Line Records.

I hope they'll reprint or something... in this here information age, the difference between getting it right and getting it wrong is pretty obvious.

Given the names of your typical Metal Hammer bands, is that not everso-slightly sloppy subbing? Bugger :/ I was quite pleased about that, now I'm fairly disappointed.

Somewhat apropros of my last post... there I am, converting Doug Stanhope's Deadbeat Hero DVD to divx and I notice his name, as used for the DVD label is "DOUG STANDHOPE".

Not quite as bad as the A Bit of Fry and Laurie comedy DVD I have that is labelled "BIRD_OF_PREY_VOL_01". I kid not.

Jeff Han's Perspective Pixel company demonstrates their Multi-Touch screens / interface.

Now that's some mind-blowingly Minority Report shit right there, yo.
