too many dead friends to hide behind
Jan. 22nd, 2008 01:49 amWell, shitting piss.
Really good ELR gig, and just as awesome to see so many friends I'd not seen in yonks :)
Sorry to folks I didn't manage to say goodbye to (Ben and Jase particularly!), we had to get trains back before they dried up.
Have, however, been knocked slightly off-kilter to read an email saying that a friend / ex-colleague of mine has died of cancer.
I saw him last year, he didn't mention it. People can be quite astonishing.
I'm not, like, head-in-hands, crying or anything, he was a good chap but we weren't close, but i liked him and am jarred by the news, seemingly out of the blue. Sounds like he had a tonne of love and support and fought it in his own way, bless him. I guess he's on the moon now, too.
I shall drink a pint of your wretched Guinness and listen to Alabama 3 in your honour, Graeme. I trust they serve it on the moon.
