No Country for SHIT FUCKING FILMS.
Mar. 14th, 2008 12:12 amIf I can do you one favour this week, then I recommend that you do not see No Country for Old Men.
I'm sure that I'll be heaped in disdain and condescension from people who 'appreciate films' better than I do, but for the normal person, the average guy who likes their films to have the slightest bit of resolution or redemption for the emotional gut-shots given throughout, particularly anyone who likes ANY KIND of an ending, AVOID THIS FUCKING FILM.
4.5 / 5 stars my arse.
The first 2/3 of the film I was digging, then suddenly, absofuckinglutely anything you were emotionally invested in is ruined, utterly.
I want my money, time and the first night I've had with a babysitter, so I can go to the pictures with my bird and have a nice evening back.
PARTICULARLY if you have any sort of problem with depression, AVOID THIS FILM.
Should come with a fucking warning sticker. "WARNING: MAY CONTAIN ONLY 50% of a FUCKING FILM".
Read the lengthy and reasonably well-written IMDB synopsis and save yourself an evening and some extreme anguish.
You're welcome.
