Bought an EEE - the 4gb model in Mincing Blue (I shall adjust my gait accordingly when carrying it).

It's suprisingly fast (linux not doing anything else while you browse really does lead to fast load times) and although I need to get used to midget keys, it seems to be an ideal "internet tablet" for chatting and browsing.

Also, it's cheap :P

So, that'll do me until I get the insurance to sort out my main laptop (if indeed they do).

Annnnnnd between liz and edwards, we have carriage to Stockton!

My EEE now has an extra 4gb storage (a spare 4gb SD kicking around) and an extra 512mb RAM (spare 1gb SODIMM kicking around).

I expected the SD to work (:P) but it's nice that the RAM upgrade was as simple and painless as it should be.
