Photos / Wikipedia
Nov. 18th, 2008 02:03 amThis might sound like a really stupid thing to mention broadcast, but I believe in Wikipedia, and often there are awesome articles that completely lack a decent photo.
And yet I see you guys, my awesome friends, many of whom are in possession of good cameras and good at picking a shot...
When you take a wicked picture, remember to think "that might be AWESOME for an article about _____"
If you provide an excellent (and legal!) photo for an entry, you get to be a bit of a superstar, and the rest of the world benefits from your tasty photo.
Is that not ace?
I state the Bleedin' Obvious because sometimes people forget.
In a world in which we all take so many damned photos, and share them on our own sites, don't forget that your photo might be really appreciated on Wikipedia :)
[end of patronising :) ]
