it's too fucking warm over here... I suspect it will be just the same when I get back to dear old Blighty, monday morning.
Not looking forward to returning without Kirsten (not that there was any chance of her coming back with me, it's just getting increasingly hard to separate), but I'm missing Corben and it'll be nice to have some of my music toys to tinker with, it's been a bit of a holiday from my studio.
I pretty much needed it, too, I'd been overdoing the lock-yourself-in-the-room-and-drink thing, so a change of pace and time with Kirsten's been ace, but I've got a million things to do - at least I can throw myself into them when I get back.
Very seriously looking into the possibility of purchasing a Yurt in a year or two. Yes, I have an inner hippy. Yes, the Yurt would have to have broadband. Only just thought... how do you lock a building that's made of stuff you can cut with a knife? I suppose I'll need a cargo-crate studio for my kit. And some land. And, oh, who knows.
I'm rambling. it's too warm.
Not got as much work done today as I'd wanted today.
This week, I've mostly been hacking other people's games, to shunt loaders on that can be used to make time-restricted versions or "10 free plays, then you buy it" to games that are already compiled, and to which we don't have the source. It's been illuminating and frustrating in equal measures, but at least I feel like a real coder.
More work for a few hours, then beers and watching the Red Wings either win gloriously, or get robbed by the chancers in black, respectively. BLAR.
