A school called an emergency assembly to tell children that a 12-year-old male pupil was having a sex change.
The telegraph is delicate as ever in its reporting.
The Mail, bastion of british journalism that it is, reveals
Boy, 12, turns up for school as a girl after sex swap during the summer holidays
A 12-year-old boy is preparing to have a sex change operation after returning to school following the summer break as a girl, it was claimed today.
From what I can make out, she had been presenting as female for some time but the school had insisted she be treated as a boy, so she upped the ante when she returned to school. Fair play, pet.
ANGER OF PUPIL'S PARENTS!
OUR KIDS WERE TOLD IN ASSEMBLE: "THIS BOY IS NOW A GIRL" ... IT WAS APPALING
During the special assembly, some confused pupils are reported to have burst into tears.
Really? Sounds like you have a bigger problem with endemic whoopsies in general than you may have thought!
The article then goes on to refer to her using male pronouns throughout, as is pretty much par for the course.
The comments, for once, though, are surprisingly enlightened for the Mail.
Filthy, gender-bending perverts, every last one, obviously.
