Apparently, after a lovely three hour wait, there's nothing wrong with me.

My head's still spinning, focussing on this screen is not easy and I still feel nauseous.

Still, good to know there's nothing wrong with me, then.

Ever had anything like this before?

There is obviously something wrong, whether it is anything obvious to an A+E dept is another thing.

head-spinny

You may have an inner-ear infection and the whack on the head was just conincidental timing.

I had something similar a couple of months ago. It drags on for ages, but I'm fine now.

Try again to get an appointment with a GP. It does sound like something isn't right and they might be able to pick up something that the A&E missed.

If you do get an appointment you may want to point out that you have no previous history of migraines (or do you?) and suggest that they check your ears.

to cheer you up:

it's probably mild concussion, sounds like the symptoms, was best to get it checked though just in case (as there is always a chance with these things it can be compression which is another nastier matter)
the nhs sucks tbh in many respects, I hope they did examine you properly (checked your eyes for dilation, etc.) but it should pass if it is concussion...

Just don't operate any heavy machinary and don't drive a car, otherwise it really might be music to crash cars too...

Hopefully you'll be fine in a day or so.
