ja, think I'm gonna as november *ought* to see work slackening off and I kicked myself for not having the energy last year... well... I signed up, so i'll see how I do ;)

I tried to do it last November, but November was busy as hell; I had an idea, but I don't think it was the right kind of idea for NaNoWriMo, or in fact a long story. I tried an independent one in July, but again failed dismally due to lots of job application and interviews; I wrote a couple of short pieces that I posted to LJ and should be reviewed at some point.

I'd like to try again. TBH if I can get over the 10k mark this time I'll be pleased. I actually have the basis of an idea this time that should be a bit more character driven, if I can be disciplined enough to set aside the time.
