multi-computer utilities

Another useful util if you jump between a few machines regularly: Letterbox
Dead, dead simple, it just adds a tray notification to whether or not there is new mail waiting in a POP account. Like it would if you ran (say) Outlook (I use Eudora) on both machines, pointed at the same account.
Except, rather than actually pick up the mail on the other machine (a pain in the arse, I don't want to manage two mailboxes on different machines), it just lets you know there's something there.
Typically, I'll then pick up my mail on my other computer via VNC, if I'm not sat at it at the time.
I actually grabbed this program because I'm not used to running my POP mail program constantly... I often do all sorts of high-CPU-drain shit, mostly musical, which means I'm in the habit of closing everything but essentials to keep a stable, fast platform for my sequencer / what-have-you. This meant, the next day, I'd get up to angry emails asking why I'd not replied, basically, because I'd quit Eudora the middle of the previous day, and the mail had piled up. This app's small enough as to not use any real resources, and I don't get barked at anymore because I know there's mail waiting even if I'm on another computer. I like this.
I'm aware this isn't ultra-high-tech, but it works very nicely for me. If you've got a better solution, let me know :)
