Fathers and husbands are certainly not without empathy. It's a right bugger of a thing at times, but I still feel it's better to have than not. Even if it kicks you in the teeth a few times for good measure, it's still better to have than not.
I felt quite shitty for a while because I never even though about how Dave felt when Ben was born, and no-one ever seems to offer them any real support either. Dads should be given more cuddles after the birth I feel...
