Date: 2007-11-08 09:30 pm (UTC)I think people are just not used to commenting now. Christ, man, we used to worry about getting money for tracks. Now we can't even squeeze ASCII out of 'em :)

Date: 2007-11-08 09:13 pm (UTC)FYI, I used Battery 2 (under Cubase), with a couple of kits from the Native Instruments Synthetic Drums 2
The semi-poppy 2-step sound of the main break, and the stop+restart triggering of the brief 2nd break are both quite deliberately not my usual style. I don't think I'd be going too far to say that I know a couple of things about breakbeats. If I'd wanted criticism, I'd put it on a site for musicians.

Date: 2007-11-08 09:41 pm (UTC)Asking for feedback has many, many drawbacks - the taste, knowledge, communication ability and (sometimes, unpleasantly) prejudice of the respondant make it futile.
I just thought it was a bit arse that people who did like it couldn't be arsed with just saying "nice one". 's all I ask.

Date: 2007-11-08 09:51 pm (UTC)but I should really pull my head out of my arse, this is precisely the sort of thing I tell people to grow up about, normally :)

Date: 2007-11-08 09:18 pm (UTC)that said, I've realised like I wanted "feedback on the track"... which wasn't entirely what I meant. ho hum.

Date: 2007-11-09 02:10 pm (UTC)Like it very much, but the guitar needs more presence.
Lyrics are quite good.

Date: 2007-11-09 02:16 pm (UTC)Partially personal taste, partially confidence on the that front - I've only recently started playing it myself (after parting ways with our guitarist) and am very amateurish. Plus, I don't actually love guitars that much. ;)
If I'm 100% truthful, there are geets on this track because I just bought a new effects pedal. Tell no-one.
