Nice :)

The guy with the Ferrari discs must be minted - they cost $100 million to the person holding them when the music stops.

I'm loving this whole thing.

The comments on the BBC story are classic.

The usual calls for "Back to paper and pens!" and for the Prime Minister to resign.

My absolute favorites are from concerned parents who are worried that the info will fall into the hands of a paedophile! An uber paedophile! Like some James Bond villian sitting in his volcano lair rubbing his hands together over the details of every child in the land. "Hmmm who's the lucky pup today then! Aha! It's you Jeremy Chiddington from Scunthorpe! You'll be mine by nightfall!"

...but the winner of the most stupid comment on BBC site for this story goes to Bernard in Barnstaple.

"Has anyone considered the consequences of Child Porn being ordered with this data?"

WHAT!!!

They're referring, of course, to those insidious (imaginary) intarweb dens of iniquity where you can "special-order" your CP, at which point crack teams of paedophile pornographers swing into action. Imagine, if you will, the terrifying pixels of

"'soup, /cp/?

Rule 34 on Jeremy Chiddington from Scunthorpe."

Nah it happens - there have been several cases recently of innocent people being busted because their credit cards were cloned and used to buy child pr0n on the internets. The cops of course don't want to know, nicking a kiddy-fiddler looks good on their statistics, so basically your reputation (and possibly future employment prospects) is fucked, your name is dragged through the mud, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
