My immediate thoughts were "because you're retarded, you deserve fewer rights than a brick."

Someone else obviously thought along similar lines and posted a topic:

These so called pure english could do us all a favour by learning the fucking language. Seriously, these BNP wankers could do with a spelling lesson first and foremost, or don't they teach that in these fucking backwater racist towns?

Haha! back in the days of my corporate glove smelling I had a brief dalliance with AND, which is the digital wing of the Mail Group. Apparently the current crop of Rothermeres have been known to go extremely quiet at any mention of Hitler. Rumour also has it that, in spite of his grandpappy's well-publicised Nazi-bumming, Viscount Rothermere as is actually doesn't read the Daily Mail as he finds it too right wing! There's a delicious irony buried there somewhere if only I could tease it out.

Also it may be just my brain oversteering, but the subtitle to that ad puts me unavoidably in mind of the typically grammatic "England these colours don't run" tattoos that used to be so popular.

On topic, this is why I no longer use facebook. Now, if I could just find where to click to delete my membership to England...

This is odd. I was literally just looking at the Anonymous vs Scientology post that someone linked to me and another friend linked to this post here, after a discussion about the abomination that some facebook groups (especially the one mentioned here) are. So, yeah, some props to you for having posts that were two points of discussion in one day. I'm off to read more now!

Ironically enough, one of my former schoolmates joined that group. I think it escaped her notice that as a student from Italy, she falls under the 'immigrants' category.

It made me snicker, before I felt sick after trawling through some of the posts...

And I must admit that as of late, I have actually found myself being a tiny little bit adversely affected by these views - a subconscious uncomfortable gut feeling when I tell one of the British students that "Yeah, I was thinking of working in London for a while; anyway I'm definitely staying in England after Uni" which is fucking ridiculous.

(For clarification: I'm Swiss, and did not live in England until coming to University).

(Also: I'm a randomer who decided to check back after your fancy Anonymous vs. Scientology post... you may have precipitated a new wave of readers) .
