Tonium "Pacemaker" mobile mp3 DJ deck

I can't work out if I really want this, or if it's TOTALLY Nathan Barley.

I think, probably both.

When the first videos of it came out of some chap meandering around a beach, mixing tracks as he walked, I thought it was total vapourware and possibly actually a joke / viral for some show, but it seems to be buyable now.

That said, I'm looking at mixing software for Linux as the EEE has enough grunt to mix tracks, and would make a sweet wee mix deck to chuck in a bag to take to parties.

Glenn from wendyhouse has one - http://glennkenobi.livejournal.com/137452.html?nc=6

I know it's FO but i'll pop just into the bar from the office and go ask him to open it up now :)

The Pacemakers are awesome, I've been after one since last year when it was vapourware. Shame it's close to £500 really.

Too true, but I follow the basis rule of "is shiny?" to decide on hardware purchases

Wasn't Ritchie Hawtin all hyped about that? Looks kind of neat, but no way I could justify spending that much money on it.

This might fit the bill ?
