Well, sure. And a fetus isn't a person.

But, see, I think a fetus is a POTENTIAL person, and, as such, has some intrinsic value, although not as much as an ACTUAL person. I'm not, myself, in favor of aborting a fetus because of deformity, although I have no real problem if someone else wants to make that choice.

And, well, let's face it -- there's an 80% chance it's not going to make any difference anyway . . . .

I don't think we're arguing from such different places - I agree with the person/foetus definition, I also wouldn't hurry to abort because of deformation, it's a grey space with lots of space in it.

I'm maybe just a few paces down the continuum from your position, is all :)

Plus, your position is taking into account the parents, while I'm willing to accept the possibility that at least one of the heads might manage to actually be a decent person, despite genetics and upbringing. Stranger things have happened.
