Oh, cocks.

I sent emails to record labels while completely twatted.

Agreed!

We could cover each other... all emails would have to be vetted by another member or two before being allowed to reach the final recipient...

in the event of twatted emails reaching their embarrassing destination, another member could contact the recipient on the originator's behalf, explain that they were twatted and apologise, safe in the knowledge that it wasn't them that fucked up, thus avoiding the crippling guilt and embarrassment.

Or we could simply spend our time emailing each other drunkenly, decreasing the chances of an Offence.

Why not just paste them into LJ and then only read our comments?

This seems like a sound plan to me.

Your subconscious is trying to tell you that you should create your own record label. And will go to any lengths to make sure that you *have* to.

Seriously, though - I'm trying to think of the last time I heard something worth a shit that came from a major label, and at the moment, I'm coming up blank.

Start your own! At least you'll know what kind of e-mail to expect. :P

I feel for you. i hate those mornings when i don't have courage to open my "sent" folder.

but having said that, you're an artist and artists have been known to get intoxicated on occasion. it's part of the price you pay for having your nerves out there in the open, getting buffeted by the unkind breezes of life. I would think that an industry like the recording industry, that deals with artists on a regular basis, would be equipped to deal with and understanding of the occasional lapse in sobriety that occurs in the day to day life of artists that express themselves musically.
