The gig was fucking stellar :)
* Got there and soundchecked on schedule (MUCH easier with only two bands to play), got some drinkies down me and waited for the place to fill up...
... and waited...
... and started shitting myself because I was fairly certain we'd fill the place (the Dev, like upstairs at the garage has about 150 capacity), and Frank was rather expectant as it was his first gig of his new weekly lineup at the Dev and it was a little slow to start.
* Half an hour before Sperm Whale went on (and Frank had put the bands BACK an hour each), the place was only half-full, so I was a bit down, then, from about 8:30 to 9:15, EVERYONE turned up and the bloke on the door announced we'd filled the place, so we went on (about 10:00) to a full house... which definitely cheered me up :)
* The sound was OK - I reckon it was actually slightly better than at the Garage... more down to the mix than the PA, though (my *dad* has a PA twice the size of the one we used), and we got the feedback issues pretty much nailed, but at the expense of monitor volume.
As a result, Jase was a bit narked at being unable to hear himself play and for some reason (i.e. not being able to hear myself much either), I seem to have sang rather like a Cockney market-trader...
* Also, we got the whole thing recorded... it's not ace in terms of levels / mixing (or indeed vocals), but I'll tart it up and upload in the near future :)
* Did the set with only one minor technical hitch (my pedal freaking out, possibly as a result of me spilling about two bottles of beer on it) and added some comedy numbers in between tracks (a goth version of "I'm too sexy", a snippet of "United States of Whatever" and a dash of Lost In Space theme track), then, finding ourselves without an encore, did an extremely bad version of Axel F while dancing around like big gay men :)
The crowd laughed, so I assume it was at least entertaining :D
* Bit of a dampener happened after the set when we realised some bastard had stolen![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
snarfc0re's bag, which contained her travel tickets home and her tickets for Icon of Coil on the sunday.
* Was rather suprised when some very enthusiastic bloke I'd never met before said he was a big fan and would like me to do something like spit on him or burn his t-shirt or something... I duly obliged by sticking my fag through his top, which seemed to make him happy :)
* Recovered Mini-Me! (mini_deathboy)
That's right! I now have Mini-Me back in the house, which is doubly entertaining becausemiss_soap owns a mini-her (from a few years back - with red hair, wearing a Goth-SLUT shirt) made from a barbie-doll :)
He was found next to the till and I couldn't get the staff to say who gave him back, but it's SOOOOOOO definitelyneedler who nicked him! ;)
Anyways, I are happy because I have him back :)
* Got home, smoked a bit, then crashed :)
Saturday:
* Got up late, spent most of the day in my pants, wandering around, smoking and drinking and that.
* Me andmiss_soap both felt quite negatively about going out due to the previous night's hardened drinking, but finally rallied and got our arses ship-shape for a night's hardhouse and psy-trance.
* Hooked up with Lol (lazrus_armagedn, then went into london and met up with the Barnster
* Collected a bewildering range of interesting things, most of which were white, but some of which were black... ingested some of these things...
* Went to Pendragon at the Fridge.
* Got utterly fucking muntered, danced, danced, danced, danced.
* Got home about 8am on sunday, smoked, decompressed and slept. Lol grinned a lot and seemed to have had a good time, so Job Done There Then(tm). :D
* Spend most of sunday In Pants Again.
* Watched / listened to comedy while eating munchies, smoking and drinking booze.
* Slept.

I now proclaim it over and done with, even if it means fainting in the middle of the national gallery, where i proposed to meet andi this afternoon.
