You go to a Morrissey gig and you throw a bottle at a 50 year old man who was taken off stage with a heart problem just the other week.

And then you boo the fact that he stops the show.

ah, Liverpool, how I love thee.

I only got to see moz during the alma mater tour (the smiths had broken up by the time I discovered them. Most of my fave bands were no more when I got into them so other than seeing the cure and depeche a couple times, I've been sorta screwed when it comes to seeing my bands live) anyway, when I saw morrissey, it was right around my 18th birthday and I dropped acid right before. I started peaking when he came out on stage and was so overcome with emotion that I started to cry. I sat down to gather myself, and I swear it was only a few minutes, but by the time the flood of emotion passes and I stood up ( I was in the 6th row up front), he was saying "thank you!! Good night!!" God, his opening act (smoking popes) played longer.. And he did a *one song* encore.. The *only* smiths song he played (shoplifters). And he didn't play anything off of his *good* solo albums, like viva hate or bona drag. Just the crap off alma maters, which even tripping my ass off on goooooood l.s.d, I was none too thrilled by.

Sorry, it was the 'maladjusted' tour I think. It was 1997. The 90s are kind of a blur for me. Heh

Just a bummer for me.. I started to get *really* into music around 1990 and yet all my favourite musical artists came from the 80s or before, save maybe radiohead

ah, the majority of the music I adore came from the 90s (Gary Numan and the Pet Shop Boys and Acid House music aside)

That he was booed for canceling the show after getting hit in the faceby a bottle of beer bothers me more than the fact that he got hit in the first place.

It will have been someone from the Wirral, they get giddy once they get inside the city limits.
