remix

I want music to remix. Anyone got any?

(or know of artists offering up remix packs that might be worth a spin)

[edit]: I did actually mean industrial / drum and bass / dance music, ie, bands from my fucking scene, you tards. Thaaaaanks! ;)

(scrap that - closing date was 30/11)

He's an extremely prolific musician, promoter, DJ, &c, and a stand-up guy. Never mind the performing with a bottle of douche wrapped around his neck, gay porn taped to his chest, and a rubber chicken. Or in a Snow White outfit. Or the 40oz beers on stage, or...

Remix the theme tune to the Magic Roundabout into a sick Dubstep choon with loads of sub-bass.

Don't all the guys on your American distributor offer remix packs or some such?

Actually thought of you earlier today, listening to "heard it through the bassline" in Gossip's Love Long Distance. It needs to be much rougher.

Can you growl:
and I HEARD IT
through the BASS LINE
not much LONGER
would you BE MINE
BAY BEE
?

I always thought a techno/industrial remyx of Styx' "Man in the Wilderness" would be interesting... but that fails to meet your criteria...

oh... wow!

to be honest, I would tend to want to remix from UK / small bands, as it seems pointless to be one of 100 remixers, but that's a crazy site, I shall look into it... ta, matey :)

Actually, we were just saying the other day that we thought someone should remix the video piracy music to make it less annoying...

I'd like to see you remix 'Enjoy the Ride' by Morcheeba. I don't know if they have a remix pack however. Other than that, I'd always love to see your take on any NIN track as that would combine my two favorite industrial artists.

Perhaps a combination mix of The Great Destroyer and The Becoming?

also:

Portishead - again, any song.

and I don't know how many of the links in this link work, but here's a huge list of stuff:

firstly, yes, I do, will email.

secondly, try 7zip. fast, good compression (in either .7z format which is increasingly well accepted, but also, smooth, original, class .zip format) and most importantly, free as a bird.

http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

HOWEVER

For sending mix packs, you can make things about 50% as big again by making them into .FLACs (as flacs are lossless, obviously a winnar for remixing).

I use dbpoweramp to convert:

http://dbpoweramp.com/

(tell me if you want a reg code)

and you probably have to add the flac codec to it:

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-flac.htm

... I know this seems a pain, but I've had 2gb remix packs go down to 200mb after converting to flac, then popping them in a zip. nae to be sneezed at.

a) you don't have birthdays, you're ginger.

b) i love you.

c) would love to fuck with 000000, though I think the idea of loving what I would do with it is redundant. you KNOW what I'll do with it. I'll get shitfaced, apply a set of plugins and presets, then call everyone cunts.

This service is, however, reliable.

:D

love you, big guy. send material when ready.

you gay.
