M-Audio seem to have a new DJ controller out.
I finally don't need any more DJ control surfaces since I got my beloved Pacemaker, but this looks alright. I had the original X-session, and it was (and still is) a good piece of kit.
Speaking of which, fucking ThinkGeek and Firebox are stocking the Pacemaker... crikey, it's gone all mainstream...

Date: 2009-12-14 06:09 pm (UTC)only just cropped up on my radar, then ;) (possibly as it entered the bargain section!) - it does look a cracker for 65 quid, I just literally cannot permit myself to spend any more money on DJ toys since I bought the Pacemaker.
and yus, I REeeeaaaaAAALLY want a launchpad :D

:D
The bundled version of Ableton is also perfectly serviceable too - epsepcailly if you're running alongside another DAW. The limitations are easily work-around-able. it's one of those It Just Works pairings (and without an Apple logo too, natch!) and I think for *lots* of people will make instant sense of Ableton.
We actually sparked up my music rig at a party a couple of weeks back and *played making music* instead of playing Wii games - *that's* how intuitive it makes things!

plus, it means you can go DJing to clubs with just a PSP-sized case in your pocket ;)
