I just got my remix back from Kat5can...

That, and I get a nice little ol' mention on their website... ACE!

The track itself's got a more menacing, prowling feel to it... production's fucking *swish*, and (as is the wonderful way with remixes), it's set up in a much different way than I'd do stuff... so, I get to listen to my own track, and be suprised by it. ACE!

Right... so now I've got to desperately DO MY WORK, totally NOT GOING TO THE SHOP TO GET VODKA and spending the rest of the day getting shitfaced and making my RETURN REMIX FOR THEM of the suitably anarchic "[Screaming like a] Crack Baby"..

We'll see how long I last...

If I'm anything like my normal willpower levels, I'll have their remix finished by... let me see... 6pm.

Right... in order to be able to get muntered this weekend with something resembling a clear conscience, I've worked REALLY FUCKING HARD today.

I even *bought* vodka and didn't drink it.

YET. [that's gonna change the fucking SECOND I post this...]

Anyway, I feel like a 'real coder' again as I've spent the day bashing J2ME (Java for Mobile Devices), and actually made a fuckload of headway. Not *finished*, mind, but I reckon that so long as I don't get put on another project in the meantime so I forget everything *again*, then I'll have it nailed in one more day.

As my mate Jim pointed out, it seems I'm destined to write a Tetris clone on every fucking platform known to man.

Anyway... due to coding like a mad-fucker, I'm now wired to the fucking gills on caffeine, little sleep and stompy-stompy techno-work-music...

All of which means that I'm in just the right mood to get kicking on some Kat5can-remix-action.

I've already been warned by Needles not to bollocks it up, as it is indeed a *TUNE*... so... while I thoroughly intend to *FUCK IT UP*, I mean that in my now-patented Good Way (tm).

Must remember to pay the rent before I get muntered...
