Brad Sucks
Jul. 26th, 2007 02:27 pmI've heard the name thrown around for quite a while (ok, friends have probably smacked me right in the face and screamed "LISTEN TO BRAD SUCKS, YOU WILL LOVE HIM"), but while checking out Reaper (a non-crippled-shareware cubase-a-like... worth looking at if you're after a sequencer and are a bit poor), I noticed it starts with a cut-down version of one of his tracks, "Making Me Nervous".
And it's damned catchy.
He reminds me of Beck quite a lot and Bran Van 3000 a bit, which is a Good Thing. It's got a deliberately lofi feel to it, but is actually well produced. Seems to know what he's fucking doing, either way.
So, if you fancy a (free) album that's a bit indy, quite guitary, and bloody catchy, go and download I Don't Know What I'm Doing by Brad Sucks. It's very good.
