Mar. 20th, 2009 12:36 amI miss Corben a bit this evening.
He was absolutely wonderful today, we played with the others this morning, then when Marthe went out to see her friend, Corben watched TV and ate really well in my room.
It's been a bit of a battle to get him to accept my room as it's neither kid friendly nor interesting to him, particularly, but as there are no communal rooms in this house, when Marthe's out, i'm a bit stuffed otherwise.
But today, not only was he ok with the room, but I coaxed him to have a two hour sleep at midday, too, letting me chill out and even get a catch-up nap myself. Unheard of! (and i really needed it).
Now, after a day's work and getting to bed, I wish the little guy was here, too, to tuck up in bed. There's nothing quite like being able to get him cozy and watch him drift off, then curl up next to him and go to sleep listening to his little snores. It's profoundly relaxing and comforting, very mammalian. I never was into the idea of co-sleeping before now, but right now, I'd kill to have him over. I suspect we'd probably interrupt each other's sleep quite badly, but the idea seems lovely.
Plus, I won't be seeing him until monday as I'm working like hell all weekend and Liz usually has him. Maybe i'll grab a few hours and take him swimming. Yus. a plan.
Crash time again, it's going to be another rammed day tomorrow. Nightnight, kitlings.
