Band Names...

deathboyWell, it's been suggested that "DeathBoy and the Bomb Puppets" is a fucking shit name for the band.
While I quite like it for a number of reasons, it would seem the *band themselves* don't like it (heh!) and, rather than just beat them round the face with my cock, I thought I'd invite opinion on the matter.
Fuck, I know I'm going to regret this...
SO: We're looking for a name... short and snappy is prolly better than long, unless you've got a REALLY good idea for a long name.
One or two words would rawk.
Some sort of reference to *my* name would be good if you can do it, as it's my fucking music and I'm a bit weird with the idea that we'll not be using my name, frankly, but... c'est la vie.
So... suggestions, please!

I also thought of Soma (as its quite a cybery name and references to ecstacy/brave new world etc) but i can't see how to work "deathboy" into it
Can't we just call the band "deathboy" and leave it at that? its simple and its how you're already known, and i like that better than "deathboy and the something really really contrived and silly that makes us sound like gerry and the pacemakers"
Or figure out what the latin/greek would be for deathboy and use that instead.

there is already a deathboy 2000, and i've had people confuse the two when i was pimping your mp3s on napster oh so long ago...
alot of these names are really cool, they would be great as a publishing company name (in the US we have ASCAP and BMI, canada has SESAC, i don't know what the uk (you don't even get capitals! hahaha) has... APERV maybe (heehee).
my vote goes heavily toward just deathboy... it's a cool name and will grab people's attention. any "and the *blank*" names make me think of rockabilly... ;)
