Vampires live longer: official

Scientists at Stanford University have confirmed what Vlad Dracul knew all along: a refreshing dose of young blood can put the spring back into your step.

Nobody tell Thunder this.

Interesting

Do you know however if a human being drinking another humans blood would result in problems similiar to BSE in cows?

the reason cannibalism in any form is taboo is entirely down to the risk of infect from the same species, so drinking blood (especially with AIDS out there) is an absolute fool's gambit.

if you use someone else's blood for a transfusion, etc, there's a screening process that _should_ catch any problems. obviously, that doesn't always work.

so yeah, if we regularly ate human-derivative products, we'd risk helping suitable diseases develop and mutate a lot quicker.
